About Our Ministry
Hope for Opelousas is a Christian based non-profit organization with the goal of providing resources and support to the impoverished city of Opelousas. We focus on youth enrichment, community development, resource networking and service opportunity. Hope for Opelousas is run by a diverse board of directors, which includes business people, political officials, educators and Hill neighborhood residents. We are run entirely with donor funds and operated by local volunteers. We are an incorporated, 501c-3 approved, non-profit organization.

The mission of Hope for Opelousas is to be a conduit of resources helping people reach their full potential. Nurturing the leaders of tomorrow today with the life-changing concept that love changes everything.
Our Hope
We are an outreach ministry, rooted in the belief that love changes everything. We believe that God loves Opelousas. We see proof of this everyday at our neighborhood resource center, which acts as a hub for serving the specific needs of the community with a focus on enhancing education, eliminating poverty and giving opportunities for people to serve one another. It is our belief that God has gone before us and as we come together and follow Him the change we want to see in the world will happen to us first, and then we will see His Kingdom Come in Opelousas. 1 Peter 4:7-11
